Teen Cooking Camp: Cook-Like-A-Pro

Does your teenager love to cook? Do they watch cooking shows and do their best to recreate the dishes after? Are they looking to up their culinary skills and grow their confidence in the kitchen? Then this is the camp for you.

Our Cook-Like-A-Pro Camp is designed to help teens become more confident and creative cooks while mastering essential culinary skills.

We’ll teach them how to make a classic roast chicken, make fresh pasta and pizza, and do some baking, as well as taking them through creating a menu and prepping and cooking a meal.

This Teen Cooking Camp distills the very best pro lessons into a hands-on week that’s packed with both knowledge and fun.

The daily class flow is active and nourishing. Mornings have us focused on cooking techniques and essentials while preparing a delicious lunch. They’ll practice knife work and learn how to season, flavor and improvise.

Throughout the week, we’ll dip into some baking and explore the food from Mexico, Japan and Italy.

On Thursday, we’ll work as teams for a Mystery Box Challenge to give them a chance to try out their newfound expertise and on Friday, each camper will bring home a meal for their family.

This camp will be taught by Jacob Wiegner, chef and former owner of Blackboard Bistro in West Seattle, and Shauna Ahern, resident Relish teacher and cookbook author.

Teen Cooking Camp: Cook-Like-A-Pro runs from Monday, July 8th through to Friday, July 14th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and includes daily lunch and snacks.
