Hygge Hug: Warming Winter Foods

Join us in January for the cozy and delicious vibes of Hygge Hug: Warming Winter Foods with Emily Wigley.

Hygge is the Scandinavian concept of connection and community — it’s about the comfort of food, drink and camaraderie — a pretty good recipe for turning that January frown upside down!

This class will be led by Vashon’s very own Emily Wigley, beloved chef of Orca Eats, who’ll be welcoming us for this class with mulled wine and spiced hot chocolate with homemade marshmallows.

We’ll be making (and enjoying) potato rosti with creme fraîche and chives, smoked salmon nordic toasts, slow cooker Swedish meatballs and vegan Swedish meatballs, finishing up with some decidedly more’ish cardamom crumble shortbread squares.

So snuggle into your favorite sweater and come on down to Relish for an extra big Hygge Hug of hot drinks, comfort food and yes, an extra slice (or two) of whatever takes your fancy.
